Veganomicon: My Favourite Cookbook

VeganMoFo 2015 – Day 12: Tell us about your favourite cookbook!

Firstly, there are way too many wonderful vegan cookbooks to choose from. But the one I go back to regularly is Vegonomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz (@isachandra) and Terry Hope Romero (@terryhope). There are recipes in this book I have made dozens of times, like my wife’s all-time favourite: Mac Daddy. There are also basic recipes that I now use variations of as staples like the Marinara Sauce and Cheezy Sauce. A friend from Instagram Kathy Davis (@veginspired) also reminded my about the awesome chickpea cutlets which are yummy and I’ve made a number of times.
Some other honourable mentions:
Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen: Traditional and Creative Recipes for the Home Cook
This is the newest cookbook on my shelves and while I haven’t made any dishes yet I have a number in a queue that will be made as soon as I have time. Notably Mango Tofu Curry, Savory Pan Fried French Toast (Bread Pakora) and Mom’s Chickpea Flour Pancakes(Chilla (Pudla)).

A social media phenomenon with their straight forward approach to vegan food and really high res and enticing photos.
