Cashew cream topping and smoked tofu in a marinara sauce. The photo doesn&#8217;t look wonderful but it was really yummy.<br \/>\n<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><em><br \/>\n250g of organic penne pasta (cooked until al dente)<br \/>\nMarinara sauce (recipe <a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/index.php\/2010\/11\/09\/baked-butternut-and-tofu-pasta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>)<br \/>\nCheezy sauce (recipe <a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/index.php\/2010\/11\/21\/macaroni-and-cheezy-sauce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>)<br \/>\n400g Smoked Tofu lightly sauteed<br \/>\n<em>Cashew Cream: <\/em><br \/>\n1\/2 cup of raw cashews soaked for 2 to 4 hours<br \/>\n1\/2 cup of almond milk (or your choice of non-dairy milk)<br \/>\nBlend until smooth<br \/>\n<strong>Method:<\/strong><em><br \/>\nPre-heat oven to 180C.<br \/>\nAdd sauteed tofu to pasta sauce.<br \/>\nThen add cooked pasta to pasta sauce.<br \/>\nNext add cheesy sauce to pasta sauce.<br \/>\nAdd pasta and sauce mix into a large casserole dish.<br \/>\nFinally pour the cashew cream over the pasta sauce mix.<br \/>\nCook for approximately 25 &#8211; 30 minutes until the cashew cream topping is has formed a light brown crust.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/VgnMF-15-Day6-CashewCreamTofuPasta.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/VgnMF-15-Day6-CashewCreamTofuPasta.jpg\" alt=\"VgnMF-15-Day6-CashewCreamTofuPasta\" width=\"1000\" height=\"749\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-445\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VeganMoFo 2015 &#8211; Day 6: Recreate a restaurant meal.
