Every time I made it before it came out really sucky. I buy some seitan of the dry ready-made variety and that always comes out wonderfully. I found the recipe for Vegan Italian Sausages on the Happy Herbivore website (you can find the full recipe here : <a href=\"http:\/\/happyherbivore.com\/recipe\/vegan-italian-sausages\/\">http:\/\/happyherbivore.com\/recipe\/vegan-italian-sausages\/<\/a> ) and it looked yummy, easy to make and best of all most of the meals by Happy Herbivore are fat-free or at least low fat !!<br \/>\nSo I made the recipe for the Vegan Italian Sausages from above and they turned out like this :<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-328\" title=\"vegan italian sausages\" src=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages.jpg 600w, http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI added chopped them up and added them to the tomato pasta sauce that I made used for <a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/baked-butternut-and-tofu-pasta\/\">baked butternut and tofu pasta<\/a> and mixed in some spaghetti and it looked like this :<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages_with_pasta.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-329\" title=\"vegan italian sausages with tomato pasta\" src=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages_with_pasta.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages_with_pasta.jpg 600w, http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_italian_sausages_with_pasta-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAnd to top everything off we don&#8217;t have Daiya in South Africa and Cheezly is hard to find so when I found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vegusto.com\/index-en.html\">Vegusto No-Muh (no-moo)<\/a> in an arb supermarket yesterday I was pretty happy !! They only had the &#8220;piquant&#8221; flavour available but it grates nicely and was wonderful on top of the pasta.
