So I thought I\u2019d start the new year with this amazing vegan dessert. I didn\u2019t make it but it was made by my better half \u2013 Mrs Vegan Animal. I\u2019m not a fan of fruit in desserts but this was absolutely amazing and it tastes as good as it looks. I\u2019ve never had trifle before in my life and had no idea how this was going to turn out but this was made on xmas day and the rest of the family (non-vegans) loved it too.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_berry_trifle.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-324\" title=\"Vegan Berry Trifle\" src=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_berry_trifle.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"550\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_berry_trifle.jpg 620w, http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/vegan_berry_trifle-300x266.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n1 packet of vegan raspberry flavoured jelly<br \/>\n660 ml raspberry or cranberry juice<br \/>\n230 g plain sponge cake broken into large chunks (we used the Vanilla Cake from How it All Vegan)<br \/>\n2 tablespoons orange flavoured liquer (we used brandy)<br \/>\n500g strawberries, hulled, sliced thinly<br \/>\n125 g raspberries<br \/>\n125 g blueberries<br \/>\nFor the custard cream :<br \/>\n300 ml thick vegan cream, whipped<br \/>\n600 ml ready made thick vegan custard<br \/>\n1. Make the jelly in a large 2.5 litre capacity glass serving bowl and refrigerate until set<br \/>\n2. For the custard cream, whisk the cream until soft peaks form. Fold through the custard until just combined<br \/>\n3. Drizzle the sponge pieces with the liquer and arrange over the jelly. Top with half the strawberries and then the custard cream.<br \/>\n4. Top with the remaining strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.<br \/>\n5. Serve chilled<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year everyone !!
