Personally I prefer to prepare everything from scratch rather than buying ready made products and it\u2019s our last day of packing and tomorrow we move into our new home.  So I thought I would repost from last year\u2019s Vegan Mofo blog.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/orgran_choc_chip.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/orgran_choc_chip.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"Orgran_choc_chip\" width=\"119\" height=\"164\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-198\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nOrgran is brand of vegan products from Australia that are widely available in South Africa. I always see them in the health food stores and have been curious to find out if they were any good or not.<br \/>\nI bought a pack of Orgran Chocolate Muffin mix and wanted to see how ready-made muffins compared to the those made from scratch.<br \/>\nThe only other ingredients that you need are water and some vegetable oil. I wanted a bit of extra decadence so I decided to add in some chocolate chips &#8211; to get the chocolate chocolate chip effect.<br \/>\n5 &#8211; 10 minutes to prepare and 25 minutes of baking and I had a batch of a dozen vegan chocolate chip muffins.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/choc_chip_coookies.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/justiceforanimals.co.za\/vabackup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/choc_chip_coookies.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Chocolate Choc chip cookies\" width=\"307\" height=\"204\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-199\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/choc_chip_coookies.jpg 307w, http:\/\/vegananimal.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/choc_chip_coookies-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>(Don&#8217;t let my poor photographic skills get to you &#8211; they taste way better than they look)<\/em><br \/>\nThe conclusion : Very good as far as out-of-the-box baking goes and well worth it for those that don&#8217;t have the time or confidence to try making their own muffins from scratch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vegan Mofo 2010 &#8211; Day 14 Not everybody has the time or confidence to bake from scratch.
